Reading Pictures

The "Images a Lire" (Reading Pictures) project is a reflective journey on photos and accompanying texts which you are invited to discover at the CICS foundation in Paris (maison Andre Honnorat), for a period of two weeks starting May 28th.

The project was born out of a dialectic between two photographers, Fabrizio Botta and Tommaso Guintini, on their respective works. The central premise of the exposition is that reality and perception are themselves a matter of interpretation for the beholder, often heavily influenced by colors and accompanying text.

"Images a lire" pushes the spectator to reflect on the importance of the interplay between what we read and what we see; the observer is left with room to choose and interpret his mode of understanding between two important means to art.
